The Forum will meet on Tuesday, January 5, at the City Club of Buckhead, from 5:30-7:40 PM. This program is sponsored by Siskind Susser Immigration Lawyers and their Managing Partner, Karen Weinstock (author of the HI-B Visa Handbook-biography at the end of this article.). Karen will be talking about several important issues including changes in 2010 Immigration activities.
Instead of a white paper topic, I am going to propose we have an Expatriate
Roundtable discussion featuring recent expatriates discussing what worked best for them in their expatriate assignment and what did not work well. If you would like to participate or if you know an expatriate who has been through some interesting experiences, let us know and we’ll invite them. This should be a great, very practical, perspective from those on the front lines of global mobility.
Our featured country will be Germany. Kristian Wolf, CEO & President of the German American Chamber will be joining us and will make a few remarks as to Germany’s economic and business outlook for 2010.
The meeting begins at 5:30 with cocktails and ends at 7:30. Please make sure to register for the meeting on line at www.totallyexpat.com to attend. For additional information please call: 770 590 8338 or email: info@birchtreeglobal.com.
I’ll send out additional information about the meeting as we get closer to the date.
In the meantime, why not mentor a less experienced friend or business associate with an interest in global business and bring them along to the meeting? Help them improve their skills and help keep Atlanta’s traffic less congested during rush hour!
